grace abounds in deepest waters
There is nothing that can prepare you for the early days of a life-altering diagnosis, accident or illness. In the first few months after my husband's diagnosis with an incurable progressive disease, I would wake at night struggling to breathe. I was drowning in fear and even in sleep my body felt the effects. An ugly prognosis. An unknown future. All-consuming fear. Yes, I was drowning in the deepest waters I'd ever known. But when I came up for air, I found God's sustaining grace met me there.
